Tried Pizza John’s in Derby, KS for the first time and it definitely hit the spot! The cheesy bread was warm, gooey, and perfectly golden—definitely a must-try. I also had the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and it was loaded with flavor. The crust had a great texture and the toppings were super satisfying. Everyone knows the "hole in the wall" places are usually the best. Pizza John's was no exception. We were visiting the area from out of town and saw the reviews online and decided to give it a shot. We knew we were in the right place when we had trouble parking, and it seemed like all of the strip mall traffic was going the same place we were! We were absolutely happy with our meal, and wish we had one local so we could go again! Atmosphere: Clean, basic, charming interior has a decent amount of seating. But I will say during the dinner rush, while our large party was able to get seated immediately - the lobby quickly filled up with folks wanting to dine in, but being forced to do carry out. You could tell staffing was a bit short, resulting in a bit of a wait. But understandably so, and nothing egregious. Staff: Despite clearly being busy, all staff was friendly and attentive. Food: My interest was personally piqued with the Chicken Pickle Pizza. It did not disappoint! We ordered a giant cheese for the kids, a medium supreme, a large pepperoni and black olive, a small chicken pickle and a small BBQ chicken pizza. This fed 4 adults and 4 kids who had a long day. I cannot tell you how often we have leftover pizza. If it tells you anything, there was NOTHING left. Everything was eaten. The crust is cracker thin with toppings all of the way to the edge, making it easy to enjoy your entire slice without "wasting" large pieces of crust. All of the pizzas were tossed with their special seasoning which added a great flavor to their already great sauce. We're already planning our next trip and have thought about returning to the area. If we do, we will not hesitate to return to Pizza John's again!
The pizza's crust was a little thin for my taste, but the certainly didn't skimp on toppings. Service was great. We were seated immediately, food was brought out with little wait, and they came to check on us multiple times, NOT TO MENTION that they have free refills on drinks. Atmosphere felt like a good old clasuc pizza place, a midnight bar and party place, and very welcoming at the same time. Our family of three was stuffed with a medium supreme pizza by the end of the meal. We ordered that and two drinks, and it can out as 24 dollars. Would recommend.

Love the 'mom n pop' vibe.. no frills, no fancy new menu - just pizza n subs, served straight out of the oven with ingredients you know are fresh, and the perfect 'finishing touch' of their signature seasoning. The staff here bring a warm-welcome charm that makes every customer feel like a regular and friendly service regardless if you're dining-in or carrying-out. A word of advice: Size up & get the Giant - these aren't leftovers you'll regret.
This place is awesome. The pizza is always perfect, the garlic bread is great. I love the old school dining, there is a reason this place is always packed. One of the best pizza places in the Wichita area.
Wanted some pizza after seeing dominoes commercial. Checked for local pizza places and this popped up. Ordered the large all meat. At first I was, "not deep dish?!, cause I'm usta Chicago pizza. But goddammit this is some good pizza! Great seasoning and quality meats, definitely impressed. Support family businesses!
Pizza John's pizza is always made correctly and full of flavor. The staff are always pleasant and attentive. This has been my favorite pizza place since I was a kid. I will say that over the years the quality and flavor have not changed. The staff is always polite and friendly. I tell everyone I know that if they want the best pizza they need to go to Pizza John's.
